BOB THOMAS is a graduate of The Atlanta College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.. With varied interests in the fields of art and design, he has spent over 40 years as a freelance designer producing award winning projects in graphic design, interior design, design for architectural renovation as well as maintaining a career in his first love, visual arts.
Graphic design has been a career long interest and Bob has worked for diverse clients to produce identity and branding solutions as well as various projects for print. His graphic design work has received awards both national and regional and he continues to work in this vein as well as in the fields of Interior Design and Architectural Renovation.
Bob began his Interior design career in 1980 working with well known Atlanta designer, Penny Goldwasser and of her he says: “I’ve always admired Penny’s sense of design and been in awe of her enthusiastic and never ending creativity. I couldn’t have chosen anyone more exciting and talented with whom to begin my Interior Design career.”
While at Penny’s firm he executed the design and installation of two rooms in the 1982, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s, Designer Showhouse. In 1983 he opened his own design studio in midtown Atlanta and his work quickly found it’s way into local and national publications such as Interior Design Magazine, Atlanta Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens and Home Magazine. His clients and their projects are represented in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Charleston, Philadelphia and Florida. The projects range from residential and resort to contract and hospitality. Architecture and architectural detail have always been at the heart of his work and over the years his involvement with design for architectural renovation has become a large part of his practice.
Throughout the years Bob has continued to devote a sizable amount of time to his work in the visual arts.
